Forty years later and In Your Face still hits exactly where it’s supposed to.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of In Your Face, Fishbone is proud to announce a special 2-disc vinyl Rerelease.

Disc One is the original In Your Face album in its full, uncompromising glory.
Disc Two is something entirely new: Cover Your Face — a collection of In Your Face songs reimagined by artists who stepped up to honor the record.

What started as a simple idea turned into something eye-opening. The artists who answered the call weren’t necessarily the ones you’d expect. In fact, many of the “obvious” choices never replied at all. Instead, we discovered a surprising, inspiring group of musicians — fans we didn’t even know we had — who showed us just how far this record’s influence has traveled. That discovery is what makes this project truly special.

We’ll be slowly leaking the participating artists as their tracks are delivered, so stay tuned.

The LP also features brand-new liner notes by Nabil Ayers — friend, fan, musician, author, and U.S. President of Beggars Group. Nabil’s incredible memoir My Life in the Sunshine explores his experience growing up mixed-race in America and includes a chapter titled “When Problems Arise.” Who could be more fitting to help tell this story?
